Mole Scanning Service

We use the latest technology in non-invasive skin scanning.

Our hand held scanning device called Molemate SIAscopy allows us to quickly and easily scan your moles and lets you know whether treatment is required and/or reassure you that the mole is non-suspicious and/or may needs monitoring.

The SIAscopy technology is patented, and has been cleared by the US and by Health Canada, is CE marked for sale in Europe with equivalent approval in Australia and New Zealand.

The SIAscope is a hand-held scanner which painlessly scans the mole and allows us to view the mole in 5 unique ways:

  • A Dermatoscopic View
  • Blood Supply View
  • Melanin View
  • Dermal Melanin View
  • Collagen View

The SIAscope scanner uses light to penetrate 2mm below the surface of the skin generating images of the mole which are then compared against the in-built diagnostic image database. The trained practitioners can then provide immediate feedback, thus improving the quality of care to potential skin cancer patients by reducing the need for biopsies and the resulting pain and scars as well as the anxiety associated with waiting for results.

Mole Removal

Our team of skilled practitioners have years of experience and use a variety of tried and tested techniques to remove moles and we may use a combination of treatments to achieve the desired results.

Our Procedure

  • For safety and reassurance, we scan all moles using our Molemate SIAscopy scanner before treating.
  • We apply a topical local anaesthetic to numb the skin, as this makes it a more comfortable treatment.
  • Treatments are carried out in convenient 15 minute sessions.
  • Multiple moles can be treated during this timed session, but the number is dependent upon the size and depth of the moles.
  • Multiple sessions can be booked if required.

Aftercare

Following treatment, there may be some redness and slight swelling for several days. The mole will gradually dry out forming a scab and it is very important that this scab comes away of its own accord as premature removal could result in the area scarring.

Some moles may require a second or third treatment and we generally allow a minimum of a month between treatments for healing purposes

A 15 minute session £225.00 (includes a 15 minute mole scanning session)

Follow up sessions, if required, for the same mole from £35.00
